The Arkham series did great and I love the major inspiration and callbacks the animated series. However, there is one thing I disliked. This Arkham universe is pretty much a failed universe. Other than Joker and technically ivy, the other major criminals out lasted Batman and in no way heading towards rehabilitation like the animated series was ... The combat was so solid that every sequel was just a refinement rather than a total evolution of the system, and over a decade later Asylum's combat is still better than most modern AAA titles. They struck gold with that system.
