With this change no longer are Forsaken raised unwillingly, it's an opt in service. It's not. It's just different. WC3 was telling a story, WoW is not really telling a story. In WC3, the whole Warcraft lore was a story that was being told, that changed with WoW, now the Warcraft lore is not really a story but rather a universe that people get to explore. I liked to imagine some Orc Mages were penitent Warlocks, but younger ones were likely just interested in magic and had plenty of opportunities to study Arcane in the modern Horde. My main issue with Shadowlands as a whole was that it didn’t feel like Warcraft to me. If it weren’t for the handful of faction leaders/heroes that stick around in Oribos, it would feel like a different IP altogether.
