In my experience competitive 40k players have run the gamut from really nice, to utter jerks and everything in between (eg. they are human). Most people acknowledge that they took a hit but it doesn't really change the Army's ability to do heavy damage. The changes that we saw were necessary to keep the game healthy. You don't have to worry about charging in, because they never have anything inside. However, walls like the ones you will find on L ruins you can move through. Terrain features will fit into one of these categories. Your army looks balanced overall but could benefit from some optimization and units that are more prepared to deal with the tier 1 armies.There is a small community of competitive players in NYC.
